Results of Fat Grafting to breasts are visible almost immediately. A period of 3 weeks after surgery is needed to allow swelling and inflammation from the procedure to resolve. There can be a significant decrease in volume if some of the fat cells do not “take”. This means the cells do not survive the transfer. The loss of volume seen after a few months can be in the order of 40-50%.
